EVERYTHING BURNSSunday, April 23, 2006All good things must come to an end. No, I'm not closing down my blog. I'm talking about the holidays. It has been a very exciting, erm, -counts fingers- 5 months worth of holidays. From all the clubbing that I've done, the friends that I've made, MI, Sports Camp, FOC, Red Camp 2, and all the other major events that have happened in this very short span, I've gained a lot of experiences and learnt a lot of life lessons. It is time for me, and many other Poly freshies, to embark on a new journey. I can't believe that I'm actually going to (officially) start school tomorrow. This will mean that I'll be studying all over again, and mugging (I hope I don't have to though) for tests and rushing to complete assignments and projects. That will also mean I'll be updating less. -cue audience's awe- Oh well, I will still be around. (: Cheers!
WE FEAR..Friday, April 21, 2006..what we do not understand. And we hate our fears, don't we? According to Yoda from Star Wars, "Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering." Have you heard anything about the latest talk of the town? No Tammy did not commit suicide. She's still alive. I'm talking about Colin and Kero, the new gay couple that just got together on April 10th of this year. My hat goes off to them for being so erm, brave, to be open like that to the world (or maybe just Singapore, but they claim that they have readers from overseas like the US, Australia, UK and Malaysia). It's amazing how, within a short span of 11 days (IT'S LESS THAN 2 WEEKS LEH), their blog has already got 800 individual visitors per day. Wah lao eh, I damn jealous can. I took months to build up this site, and all they had to do was to set up a shared blog telling everybody about their gay life. Haha okay, I was kidding. That wasn't the point. They've become quite a hot topic on some forums (eg Hardwarezone) and they claimed that many people have linked up their blog in one way or another, and have passed comments (like what I'm doing now). Eh, by doing what I'm doing now, aren't I giving them publication!? -gasp- They're strong in their beliefs and they're not giving a flying fuck about the conservative public's opinion and they're not afraid of the stigma that they will definitely feel/receive. They've also made their point about gays who are still "hiding in the closet", being afraid to come out. In the end, they lose out because they don't know who's gay and whose not. I don't know, I'm not anti-gay, nor am I pro-gay. I'm neutral, and I find this rather, amusing. Weeee! I won't be surprised if they become the next "Tammy scandal" and are everywhere in the papers and blogs. I won't be surprised if they become the next hot topic for gossip among youngsters. *shrugs- I'm really amused. --- "POLY students are stupid, childish and mindless kids." Fuck you. I beg to differ. Read this, and all the Poly students will surely flare up. Yes I know it's pretty backdated, but I just want to give my 2 cents worth. He calls himself Redpony. For someone who claims to be from a JC, I think that's a pretty lame nick, don't you think? I thought someone like him with such intellectual vigour would come up with something more sophisticated. It all started out because of MapleStory. Yes, really stupid shit I tell you. Redpony (let's call him Mr-I'm-Too-Smart-To-Think-Of-A-More-Sophisticated-Nick) "accused poly students of the increased 'ks-ing' - or kill-stealing - during gaming sessions." "If someone can't even meet the minimum cut-off (points) to enter a JC, it's just plain sad." "People from poly should know their place." Which Poly student who reads this won't get pissed off? Do JC students really think they're more superior than us Poly students? Seriously, this JC vs Poly politics is dumb. I thought JC students like himself were supposed to be more "educated" in a way, not only in studies but also in morals, right? Well this turn of events shows otherwise. I'm sorry but I don't like being stereotyped (even though it wasn't pointed towards me, but I still feel the pinch), but I think Mr-I'm-Too-Smart-To-Think-Of-A-More-Sophisticated-Nick is not doing any justice by stereotyping Poly students just because of a stupid game. I'm not going to start flaming JC students, because I'm not as shallow as Mr-I'm-Too-Smart-To-Think-Of-A-More-Sophisticated-Nick. I just wanna say that Poly students may not be as smart as JC students, but one thing I know for sure, is that most Poly students are more streetsmart than JC students. Students in Poly mature faster than JC students because we don't get spoonfed like how we were in Secondary School. We don't linger on to the past. We can make important choices ourselves. We learn important life lessons. We experience the real world. But of course, there are really nice JC students too. I'm NOT stereotyping. I don't think that ALL JC STUDENTS SUCK. I'm not as shallow and dimwitted like Mr-I'm-Too-Smart-To-Think-Of-A-More-Sophisticated-Nick. Hehe. -- On a less serious note.. I met Jolene, Carmen and Celine today after a long absence. Oh God I've missed all of them so much. Oh and we saw Winnie at McDonalds too, with her boyfriend, Keith. So we managed to catch up on a lot of things. And when I say things I meant the latest gossips, happenings in our lives and such. We had a ball of a time, as usual, and I finally got to take a photo of Jolene's self-made tops. Oh and by the way, I've unhosted Jolene and Ryan already. Why? Jolene has gotten herself a new domain! -throws confetti- And I like the name of it. (: ![]() Haha I know that picture looks scary. The original looks scarier. She looks like some typical I'm-going-to-kill-you-because-I-died-here-and-you're-on-my-train ghost in a typical horror movie. She looks a bit like Sadako (from The Ring), but the prettier version. I unhosted Ryan because he deleted his blog. He found that he had no time to update because he was constantly busy studying for his Ns and doing his D&T coursework. Ahh, coursework. I know how taxing that can get. Anyway. Jolene has started stencilling (sp?) t-shirts, and she does them really, really well. Want to see what I mean? ![]() This one says, "I'm just a girl with ideas" at the front, and the same thing at the back, but only mirrored. She even stenciled (sp?) her bag! Here's a close up. ![]() It says, "Screw you guys, I'm going home". Here's another one of her works. ![]() YES IT'S A WONKA BAR. AND YES SHE STENCILED IT. SEE HOW MUCH IT LOOKS LIKE THE ORIGINAL ONE? It's really nice lah, and she does them really well. And yes, you can get one made for yourself too! All you need to do is send her an email exactly what you want on the t-shirt. The price will vary, depending on the design. The duration to make the t-shirt will also vary. Just email her and you'll get more details, like how to pay and stuff. Or you could visit her site to get more information. (: Okay, I shall end off this entry with a picture of.. . . . . . ![]() EHEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHE!!!!
LETHAL WEAPONTuesday, April 18, 2006CAUTION: LONG POST & 2 VIDEOS BELOW Hello, hello. It's been a long time (OVER TWO WEEKS TO BE EXACT!!) since I updated. My life has been getting busier and busier, packed with camps, parties, and just small little outings with friends. When school starts on the 24th of April, life will become even more hectic with assignments, projects, and studying. It's been a great two weeks. I've found and made more friends, and played really really hard. If you don't believe, you can look at my skin colour. LOL, I'm super dark right now. I've been overexposed to the sun, and I hope I don't get any sort of skin disease or anything. LOL, I wouldn't wanna die that way (here we go talking about death again, sheesh). So what exactly have I been doing? I had Sports Camp and Freshmen Orientation Camp. Not only that, my favourite DJ was in town! :D With that, I definitely had so much fun. But I'll try to keep this entry as short as possible. :/ ![]() Sports Camp was pretty fun. A little info: There were only limited spaces for this camp, and during the Notebook Fair, they set up a booth outside the Convention Centre. They only took about 20 people per day. So in total, there were only about 200 people who went for Sports Camp. The reason? Simple. They want people who are damn sporty and enthusiastic to be the first ones to sign up and take up the place. I was in Rio, and the people in it were alright. However, on the first day, everyone wasn't really hyped up and enthusiastic (and I was late by the way, as usual). Everyone was quiet, treating each other as strangers. However, I was already expecting all that for the first day. The debrief though, was quite horrible. We were all taking turns to voice out our opinions, and when it reached this particular person, he couldn't get his message across to the Group Leaders (GL), so he thought about it for a while before saying it again. I kinda understood what he was trying to say, so I wanted help him voice out. When I tried saying what I wanted to say (while the other guy was keeping quiet, still thinking), the GL in the center just put a hand in front of my face and said, "Let others speak." I was like, what the fuck? Then I tried saying again cause he was still quiet, but the GL repeated his words. NOBODY PUTS A HAND IN FRONT OF MY FACE AND TELLS ME TO SHUT UP (INDIRECTLY). AND BESIDES, HE WASN'T EVEN TALKING, AND HE WAS STILL THINKING. ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS SPEED UP THE PROCESS SO THAT WE CAN ALL GO TO SLEEP EARLIER. WHAT THE FUCK LAH. And finally, he spoke. It was the exact same thing that I wanted to say. -.-" When it came to me to voice out, I just gave bo chup answers like, "Okay lor", "Can lah" and "Not bad". But when the GL started asking more indepth, I started to answer more indepth too. I ended up shooting some of the GLs. Bad I know, but I just wanted to voice out my opinions, and I guess I wasn't the only one who had that particular opinion. Hmm.. Overall, I did enjoy Sports Camp, and I liked the programme that the Students' Sports Council had lined up for us. However, I wished that my group, Rio, was more enthusiastic about things When I reached home on Thursday, I told Mom that I was hungry. So I ordered a 9 piece chicken mcnugget, a medium fries and a hamburger. While waiting for the food to come, I fell asleep on the sofa. According to my parents, they said I was too exhausted that I didn't wake up when they tried to wake me up. WAH LAO I WAS REALLY DAMN HUNGRY LAH. I really wanted to eat all that food. In the end, my family shared the food after several attempts at waking me up. ![]() GO TITANS GO TITANS GO. Okay anyway, Freshmen Orientation Camp (FOC) was super fun, in some aspects. I don't know how many places there were for this camp, but there were definitely more than the Sports Camp. Oh and by the way, Sports Camp and FOC are always at loggerheads. Hmm.. Yah, in case you didn't know, I'm in Titans! Upon reaching school, we had to register, and I really wanted to be in Titans because Jun Wei was saying that the GLs are damn super on. THEN I GOT IN HOORAH! LOLOL! Winnie was also in Titans, so we sat together and we were being super enthusiastic about everything, and trying to hype up the group. It's like any other first day of camps, where everybody still shy shy and keeps quite quiet (quite quiet, ahahha sounds weird). Ahh vell. The thing I liked about FOC is the people in my group. It's quite inevitable to wait, but still, I think things could be done a bit faster. Ahh well, I still enjoyed the camp, and that's what matters. Oh, and I made a lot of new friends! (: ![]() The Mass Dance was great. The choreography was really nice lah. And I had a great dance partner. Meet Putri. Thank God for her, because I wouldn't have enjoyed the Mass Dance and campfire night without her! Oh ya, by the way, this really fat girl was my dance partner initially and I wasn't really too happy because I really wanted to dance with someone who could dance as well. But that night after we learnt half of the dance, I found out that she booked out. So before the nightwalk started, I didn't have a partner to walk with. And before that, during the day, while we were learning the dance, well actually while we were taking a break, they were playing some music and I went up to Putri and started dancing. Both of us had the same thought - "How come you're not my dance partner?!". So back to the nightwalk part. Her partner, this guy named oaiuoa#!&$ (I forgot his name, so did she) agreed to "change" partners. So he ended up not having a partner. I don't know who he partner-ed (is there such a word?) with in the end. ![]() See the retard that is Winnie. Oh and that's John at the back. Everyone had a bad hair day but were still high and very hyped up because we were going for dinner, and after that was the campfire! ![]() Meet Ginni. She won the Most "On" Award during Sports Camp. She's a small and cute little girl who's very enthusiastic and loud. She's short, but it doesn't matter. LOL, she likes to pretend to be tall too. Fwahahaha. ![]() ![]() Campfire was alright. But the programme wasn't that enjoyable. But like I said, it's the company that makes it enjoyable. After the 7 Minute Cheer competition and all, they played music and yes, I was with Putri most of the time. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() There were other people who I saboed but I didn't take photos of them. LOL, but this girl, yes girl, and YES, I forgot her name too, damn jia lat. She was sleeping on the track with some other people with Titans. It was as if she was dead. We were drawing on her legs like nobody's business can? LOL, hats off to her man. She only woke up when I tried to move her hand so that I could draw her hand too. LOL. There were other sabos that we did that were quite mean. We put toothpaste on this person's face, and tickled his face. Then he slapped himself, smudging the toothpaste all over his face. LOL, we did it with another person, only that we used CHILLI SAUCE. Haha. After all that saboing, I went back to the hall and lied down to talk to Yanzu. I fell asleep. Shit. When I woke up, I saw Firdauz running away. Then I turned and saw Jonathan too. YA LAH I GOT SABO-ED AS WELL. Damnit, and I told Yanzu before we slept, that if we were to sleep, we'd both kena damn jia lat. I think those two idiots wanted to draw more but I woke up instead. LOL, I had toothpaste behind my knees (those joints lah), at my neck and got some on my sleeping bag. LOL, I chased both of them around like some monkey can? Fwahaha. It was the last morning, and almost everyone was tired because they didn't have enough sleep. And I, being the fucker that I am, took photos of them. And by the way, there are four pictures of the same girl sleeping for a long time. -hats off to her- Her name's Reine. Fwahaha. ![]() One. ![]() Two. ![]() Three. ![]() And four. ![]() If I'm not wrong, this is either Yi Xian or Kelvin. ![]() Ahh damn they caught me sleeping as well. I don't know who took this. Grr. That's about it for my camps. After FOC, a group of us went to eat at KFC. Oh my God, you have no idea how delicious KFC tastes after not eating fast food for ages (4 days actually). IT WAS AS IF WE WERE FLOATING IN AIR. FWAHAHHAHA. ![]() SAY HELLO TO DJ TIESTO! Up to today, I still cannot believe that I experienced Tiesto. He was here in Singapore for his "In Search for Sunrise 5 Asia Tour". He spun at the best club ever (to me at least), Ministry of Sound. I bet they paid him a gazillion dollars because Door Tickets were overpriced. It was SG$42 with only one drink. You might say that it's quite reasonable since he's like the World's Number One, but still, I think it's overpriced. My thoughts are shared by many, serious. LOL. But I have to say, I couldn't care less because I got in through VIP. (: That means I didn't have to pay to get in. Mwahahah! A friend signed me in. The queue wasn't as long as I expected it to be. Well maybe because everyone was inside already because when I went in (it was about 10.50pm), the place was already packed like mad. It was really body-to-body kind of thing. Anyway, I went down to the dancefloor to find my friend, Jules and his other friend whom I forgot his name as well. (Alamak this is bad leh. I keep forgetting people's names. Even my FOC friends' names I can forget!) Tiesto came on at 1am. ![]() LOL! The moment he came up everybody took out their cameras and their camera phones to try and get a shot of Tiesto. It was crazy I tell you. I was very happy because I managed to get on the platform that was right smack in the center, and right in front of Tiesto. The music was great as usual, and I still cannot believe that I've experienced the Tiesto Sound. It just seems surreal, and it's sad that it went pass so fast! I had a great time. At about 4am, I went upstairs to find my sister and her friends because it was getting really hot downstairs, and not to mention I've been dancing for 5 straight hours from 11pm. LOL. I needed to get a drink so yeah. Bloody hell while I was up there they played one of my favourite songs. Ahh vell. Tiesto was great. For those who missed it, well you missed a great party. It was so surreal. But anyway, I'm sure he'll be back, and I'll definitely be there. I had a great time these two weeks. Here's two videos for you from that night! It takes about 10-20 minutes to load, so do wait a while. The two videos are about 2 minutes long each. You need Quicktime to view it. (I tried uploading it to YouTube.Com but it took forever to upload because it's a big file so I gave up. Haha) NOTE: VIDEOS HAVE BEEN REMOVED
